D alkhola Police arrested a man and a woman during an operation with illegal alcohol worth lakhs of rupees from Hassan of Dalkhola, North Dinajpur. Police sources said that the police team raided a house after receiving inputs from the secret sources on Thursday. During the operation they seized a large amount of alcohol and other items that are used for preparing alcohol.

T hree men were arrested by the Dalkhola Police for possessing a truck that was reported to be stolen from Assam.  The accused have been identified as Loknath Shriwas, Altaf Hussain and Sudhir Kumar. All three of them hail from Bilasipara of Dhubri, Assam. The accused were arrested during the time the police was conducting a check in Daulatpur near NH 31 on Wednesday night. The three seemed suspicious and so, the police decided to interrogate them. The men could not convince the police with their answers. Moreover, the three failed to show any documented proof of the truck- which led the police to investigate and realize that it was the same truck that had been stolen from Assam’s Biharbari area.
